someone asked me what the difference is between liking and loving someone - my brain short-circuited.

I’ve been sitting with this thought:

Is there really a difference between liking and loving?

Or is all part of the same spect liking just love, stripped down and tamed - controlled, unexpressed, unexplored?????? And many more words like these.

The more I think about it, the less convinced I am that they are separate - especially when I consider how rare it is to feel a connection in the first place.
